Gapyeong, Holiday Near Seoul

Gapyeong is one of the greatest places to go on a holiday. It is very close to Seoul, which means, you can arrive to Gapyeong by subway. It only takes around 90 minutes from Hanyang University. It has really great scenery. Gapyeong is one of the places where a lot of Korean university students go for a holiday on their weekends. I have recently visited Gapyeong. I will be sharing my experience at Gapyeong in this article.

There is a huge botanic garden near Gapyeong. As you can see in the picture, it has an amazing view. The relaxing feeling is great for a holiday. Studying and staying at home due to the COVID-19 was a huge stress for me, and spending time in the nature was a great pleasure for me.

Besides nature, there are great things to do at Gapyeong. Especially in the summer, you can enjoy water activities such as jet ski. In the winter you can enjoy driving sleigh. There are great foods too. Mak-guksu, which is a type of noodles, is very famous. It is a cold Korean buckwheat noodle dish served with sugar, mustard, sesame oil. It is one of my favorite Korean foods. Dak-galbi is also very famous. Dak-galbi is a spicy stir-fried chicken. It has gochujang sauce with sweet potatoes, cabbage, rice cake, and various of other ingredients.
