Time flies. Now, my exchange life is one month away from being over. Although Korean food is delicious, I miss Chinese food from time to time. I think most Chinese exchange students have same feeling too. Also, there are many foreign students may want to try some Chinese food here. Therefore, I will introduce three Chinese restaurants to you today. The first two I have tried and the last one has good reputation among Chinese.
恭喜面馆 (꽁시면관/GongXi Noodle House)
GongXi noodle house is located in Myeong-dong (명동). It is close to the Chinese Embassy and easy to find it. The decoration of this restaurant is traditional which make you feel like in hometown. They provide different kinds of Chinese food, including soup dumpling (小笼包), squid seafood noodle (鱿鱼海鲜面), spicy hot pot (麻辣香锅). Some staff they can speak Chinese so that you can ask details about each dish. Let’s me show some pictures first.
As you can see, there are many Chinese elements, such as a Chinese knot.
This is the big menu on the wall. The menu has Korean and Chinese version, so you can easily order what you like.
This is the soup dumpling. One dish like this is 5,500 KRW, not very expensive.
This squid seafood noodle is very delicious. I tried it and it tasted good. The price is 8,000KRW.
This is fried rice with shrimps.
In my opinion, this Chinese restaurant is similar to Sichuan food restaurant. Most of the food is spicy. If you like spicy food, you can have a try. Although the price is not very expensive, you’d better have meal with 3-4 persons here. Then you can eat more kinds of food without spending too much money.

Shabu Teacher (샤브선생)
The weather becomes colder now, so eating hot pot is a good choice. Last week, I went to this restaurant with my Korean friend. It is located nearby Ewha Womans University (이화여자대학교). I know this one is also famous among Koreans.
There are several set meals. Each set meal is for one person. I chose the left one on that menu. You can choose your own soup. If you go with your friends, you can choose to eat together. Then you can have two kinds of soup. (Clear and spicy one)
This was what I ordered. You can choose beef or lamb.
This is one person seat area. If you sit here, then you can get more free vegetables. I think the taste is good, but this restaurant is so small. Last time, I waited it for 45 minutes. After I finished my meal, I thought it was worthy. They will write down your name and tell you how long you need to wait. You can go shopping around in this period.

野里盛 (야리성)
This one is close to our school, just 3 stations from Wangsimini (왕십리). You can order set meal or dishes. The price of lunch and dinner set meal is different. There are cold fish, shark’s fin, soup, scallop, pork, vegetable, bean curd and so on.
The decoration is quite traditional

The price is a bit steep, but people who have tried says it is worth it.
