Marvel’s ‘Doctor Strange’ has shown up on theaters since Oct. 26th in Korea. Also, Doctor Strange was scheduled for release on October 25, 2016 in the UK and on November 4 in the US. The popularity of this movie was so high that the immense success began right out of the starting gate. According to the ‘comicbook.com’, the film has earned a $181.5 million in the States, and $390 million from international markets, leading to a current total worldwide gross of $571.5 million. Considering its powerful influence, it can make others, who hasn’t yet watched the movie, walking into the theater not to be an old-fashioned person.
Here is the official synopsis
“Marvel’s Doctor Strange follows the story of the talented neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a tragic car accident, must put ego aside and learn the secrets of a hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions.
“Based in New York City’s Greenwich Village, Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and what lies beyond, utilizing a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to protect the Marvel cinematic universe.” (Source: http://collider.com/doctor-strange-synopsis-marvel/)
I have watched this film 2 weeks ago, and I totally loved it with this amazing content. Moreover, if you are into Sherlock (British Drama), you won’t regret your time spending your time and money watching this film. It’s because Benedict Cumberbatch is a main character in this film! He plays Stephen Strange, with a British accent. For other actors, Rachel McAdams plays Christine Palmer (left person in the picture), an ER doctor who has both a professional and romantic role with Strange. Chiwetel Ejiofor plays Baron Karl Mordo, who introduces Strange to the hidden world of magic and ultimately connects him with the Ancient One.
In Korea, the film is now screened with original or IMAX version at theaters. The price would be higher when you see it in IMAX Theater. Check it out the details related to price through the Internet!
- Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
Here is my second suggestion! Did you know this film was based on the book, ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them’? It is the first prequel of an upcoming series of films based on ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them’, one of the companion books to J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series.
We know what Fantastic Beasts will look like, thanks to the many trailers and posters, but what will it sound like? The answer is about the magical creatures in the Harry Potter universe. Here is the official synopsis for the story:

Source: https://www.theguardian.com/film/2016/sep/28/fantastic-beasts-and-where-to-find-them-final-trailer
“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.” (Source: http://www.fantasticbeasts.com/)
Next, it’s time to meet the ‘Harry Potter’ spinoff stars. The cast features Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne and Colin Farrell, but there are also plenty of actors that are still on the rise like Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, and Ezra Miller. In Korea, it has started to release this film since Nov.16. Further, this new film series will span across five installments written by author and screenwriter J.K.Rowling. Excited!
- Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, 2016
This film hasn’t released yet in Korea or even anywhere around the world, but the opening date, Dec. 29, is just around the corner. This film, also known simply as Rogue One, is an upcoming live-action Star Wars film, the first in the Star Wars Anthology Series. The screenplay, written by Chris Weitz and Tony Gilroy, is based on a story by John Knoll and Gary Whitta. For the casting of Starwars, ‘Rogue One’ stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Riz Ahmed, Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, and Forest Whitaker.
Here is the official description:
“From Lucasfilm comes the first of the Star Wars standalone films, ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”, an all-new epic adventure. In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. This sky event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and I doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.” (Source: http://www.starwars.com/rogue-one/)

- Jack Reacher: Never Go Back (2016)
Here is the last film in my top suggestions. ‘Jack Reacher: Never Go Back’ is going to be released tomorrow, November 29th, 2016. Let me tell you the movie information: Tom Cruise returns as Jack Reacher in this sequel based on Lee Child’s bestselling novel Never Go Back, which finds the itinerant problem-solver accused of murder, and learning that he may have a child he has never met. Also, it is categorized into Action & Adventure, drama genre.
If you are the one who has watched ‘Mission impossible’ before, you could probably notice the familiar actor, Tom Cruise. Actually, this film is a sequel to the 2012 film ‘Jack Reacher’. Of course, both two film star Tom cruise as a main actor. To remind you of the rough outline about ‘Jack Reacher’, the following is the movie information:
“Six shots. Five dead. One heartland city thrown into a state of terror. But within hours the cops have it solved: a slam-dunk case. Except for one thing. The accused man says: You got the wrong guy. Then he says: Get Reacher for me. And sure enough, ex-military investigator Jack Reacher is coming. He knows this shooter-a trained military sniper who never should have missed a shot. Reacher is certain something is not right-and soon the slam-dunk case explodes.” (https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/jack_reacher/)

This film has been released already worldwide except a few countries including Korea. So if you want to know the frank responses to whether this film is good or just for time-killing, it would be helpful searching for critic reviews written by foreign people.
