So far, there are so many articles describing various restaurants in Wangsimni (왕십리). Lately, I have already written about some sushi restaurants that might meet your tastes (Refer to the article titled ‘Sushi restaurants in Wangsimni’). This time, I am going to tell you some restaurants but confined to Wangsimni Enter-6 (왕십리 엔터식스). All these three restaurants below are based on hitting Google to find a good restaurant that had been recommended by others or based on my own experience.
Here are my top suggestions:
- Grill Thai
This is a chain that can be found in various locations across Seoul (서울), Yongsan (용산) or Gangnam (강남). This has been founded lately, so the number of customers grows higher as the time passes by. Of course, I got recommendation by my close friends, so I had a chance to go to the restaurant.
Originally, when you go for dinner, the possibility of waiting in line is significantly high. So you can find out some chairs laying out by the restaurant for them. However, there is a certain time when you don’t have to stand in line, which is ‘lunch time’! So go in the early or late in the afternoon!
The main dish is categorized into noodle, rice, salad, or steak. Here is the menu of this restaurant. English is also written on the menu to help foreigners get an understanding of the food they are selling. For me, I ordered a set menu which included rice, steak, and salad. Although I can’t remember the exact price of it, it approximately costs around 30000 won. I attached the second picture of the combo set that I chose at that time, but the picture only shows the steak. (Forgot to take a picture of the other dish!)
The distinctive feature of this restaurant is that electronic dance music (EDM) makes the atmosphere much more active. However the sound itself is not so loud, so you don’t have to be concerned about not hearing your friend’s voice well.

On the second floor of the Wangsimni Enter 6. It’s quite opposite from the way going to school, so utilizing an English version of a map would be a great choice.
- Flying Bowl Express
The first restaurant has been started nearby Gwanghuamun (광화문), but due to the rapid popularity the restaurant is being spread out at various spots in Seoul. Like the upper one, you don’t have to wait outside of the restaurant when you go for lunch. Furthermore, the number of workers is relatively low, so this could result in the service could be lagged behind. In my experience, even though all seats were not filled with customers and some seats were still available, we weren’t allowed to get in due to the few number of workers. I’m not sure whether they still have the same number of workers now. However after grabbing a bite of egg bun, your anger and irritation would be gone far away for sure.
Here is the menu. The main food is egg bun and pizza. As you look the picture above, they are selling diverse kinds of buns and pizza. Based on my experience having both ‘signature bun’ and ‘bacon & cheese bun’, these two were both great! Unlike the burger, the taste is a lot softer due to the egg inside. But I have never tried out any pizza in that restaurant. So please let me know whether it tastes also good or bad!

In the corner of the third floor at the Wangsimni Enter-6.
- Banes Carne
Here is a Mexican restaurant. Actually I haven’t been or seen there before, but I saw some of blogs acclaiming that restaurant serving delicious food. They are selling not only Tacos but Quesadilla, Chimichanga, Chipotle Bowl, Enchilada and burgers. The price range is around 10000~12000 Won, depending on pork, chicken, beef or shrimps for ingredients.
And also there are lunch special! It starts from 12 to 3 pm. You can check it out what food are included in the lunch special by referring to the first picture. One of the special events in it is you can have Taco set including French fries and soft drink by paying 5900 Won. Wouldn’t be fascinating for us?

After getting out of the Wangsimni Station, you have to get down using the escalator. And then turn right at that spot. Also there is a bus stop close to the restaurant. Hope you can find it without roaming around.
