If you’ve been feeling a bit tired of the usual hangout spots in Seoul, especially the café-hop routine around Hongdae or Itaewon, here’s a refreshing alternative that’s still super easy to get to. Just a short walk from Hongdae Station, in the charming backstreets of Yeonnam-dong, there’s a little flower shop where you can create your own bouquet for yourself, for a friend, or just because.
Because just by grabbing some flowers and making yourself a bouquet, it could make our day better! And remember, why do we need to wait for someone else to give us flowers if we can get it yourself? Of course, at an affordable price!!
Location: Violet Flower Yeonnam (해리스플라워마켓 연남점)
서울 마포구 양화로21길 17 (61m walk from Hongdae Station Exit 3)

Price range: 10.000-15.000 won (for arranged bouquet) and individual flowers price start at 2.000 won!
Okay, so now what’s make this place so special and different with other flower shops in Seoul?? Let me tell you why!
The space itself is warm and welcoming, with rows of fresh flowers already beautifully trimmed and displayed by color and type. You can even take pictures inside the shop because the vibe is giving a high-end instagrammable place! Once you enter the store, you can just take a quick round inside and see that everything is laid out for you to choose and combine as you like. Each flower stem starts at just 2,000 KRW, and they have a surprisingly wide selection of seasonal and trendy blooms (think pastel roses, tulips, dried lavender, and even unique wildflowers).
In addition to the flowers, you can also add some greenery for texture and volume, which starts from 1,000 KRW. You’re totally free to mix and match according to your taste. What’s great is that there’s no minimum purchase required, so you can make something as small or as grand as you’d like.

Once you’ve picked out your flowers, the wrapping station is ready for you. The basic vinyl wrap is free, and it already looks neat and clean, but if you want something a bit more elevated or gift-worthy, you can upgrade to paper wrapping for just 1,000 KRW. They also have more premium options like soft-toned paper, ribbons, and textured wraps that feel elegant and high-end, in case you’re preparing something for a birthday, celebration, or just want that little extra touch.
But the experience doesn’t end there!
Once you’ve made your bouquet, take a few minutes to explore the neighborhood. Yeonnam-dong is full of charming cafes, quiet alleys, and curated lifestyle stores which sell cute accessories such as keychains! Whether you’re meeting a friend or going for a solo date, it’s a perfect chance to bring your flowers to a nearby café, order a latte, and take some beautiful pictures with your bouquet. It’s honestly a great way to slow down, reflect, and enjoy a more personal, creative moment in the middle of the week.

And if you’re thinking flowers are only for gifts, think again! Making a bouquet can be such a lovely way to show appreciation for yourself, to mark the end of a stressful week, or to simply do something intentional with your time. Of course, it also makes for a sweet date idea! Picking flowers for each other, wrapping them together, then heading to a coffee shop nearby.
I myself went there and just arranged a simple bouquet with the flowers that I like for around 13.000 won including the paper wrapping! It was such a great experience to treat and give yourself a gift :)
