My Top 3 Hangang Parks

As a Malaysian living in Seoul, one of the many things I enjoy that are exclusive to Seoul is Hangang Park. They are very relaxing, fun, and a great place to hang out with friends or family. After being in Seoul for almost 3 years now, I have had my fair share of trips to Hangang parks, and after a while, I find myself having favourites.

In this article I will list my top 3 favourite Hangang parks to go to and why you should choose this as your next hangout destination with your friends or family!

Number #3 on this list must go to Banpo Hangang Park. Like most Hangang parks, it has your usual convenience stores where you can make ramyeon as well as get your typical convenience store goodies. However, what sets it apart from other parks is its iconic bridge fountain show that happens every night! Not only that, they also have a designated stage for any busking performances which I personally have used. It was very convenient and made it clear to audiences where they could go if they wanted to watch any performances happening.

Number #2 goes to Ttukseom Hangang park. Here, I was able to rent swan boats and experience Hangang waters for myself which was definitely a highlight of this particular park. Not only that, it is also located right next to Ttukseom’s Recreational Park, which in the summer becomes a public swimming pool and in the winter becomes a sleighing zone. So you are definitely spoiled for choices of activities here

My number #1 Hangang Park goes to Yeoido Hangang Park! What makes it the best out of all the other parks is that it has the best sunset views in my opinion. Of course, the grass area that seems to be endless can always fit as many friends as you’d like and don’t get me started on the street food vendors selling more than your typical Hangang ramyeon. But what puts it at the top for me is definitely the mini stream that they have during the summer where you can soak your fit in. It was also the first Hangang park I visited after arriving here, so that will always hold a special place in my heart.

Whether it be, fountain shows, delicious foods or amazing atmospheres, Hangang parks are never short on that. The best place to go when you just need to wind down with friends, family or even alone, Hangang parks are definitely jewels of Seoul in my opinion. So sit back, relax, and let’s go visit Hangang Park!
