Helloo everyone!! Did you know that Hanyang hosted a Chuseok Festival on the 25th September right next to the International building? By the way, Chuseok is known as the Mid-Autumn Festival or Korean Thanksgiving Day.
My friends and I went to the festival right after our class. There is a stage performance, including beatboxing, Taekwondo demonstrations, and breakdance show as well. It’s very exciting and there are a lot of people.

You can find many booths too. There were food stalls offering colorful rice cakes, very delicious Korean pancakes, also known as Jeon, and churros.

Additionally, there is a lucky roulette where we can get various gifts. The first prize is a Hanyang sweater, the second prize is a Hanyang keychain, and the third prize is a Hanyang
hand-fan. While I didn’t manage to win anything, I was satisfied with the participation prize which is a cute sticky note with a Hanyang character on it.

Visitors can enjoy a variety of Korean traditional games and play with their friends. And you should not miss out on the opportunity to try out the Hanbok at the Korean traditional outfit booth. Moreover, there is a photo backdrop where we can take photos together with our friends while wearing the Hanbok attires.

The Chuseok Festival was a fantastic event where we got to try various things and eat many delicious foods.
Thank you to the OIA team for hosting the Chuseok Festival for international
students. Wish everyone a joyful and memorable Chuseok holiday!
