I am sure that Japan is famous for having bunch of stuffs in convenience store. They have not only fast-food, they also have fish cakes that are put in boiling soup, luxurious lunch box, cake, dessert and so on. However, Korea is not that far behind in having great stuff in our convenience stores. As Koreans get busier and have not enough time to enjoy a proper meal, they start to have their meal in convenience store- craving food that are fast, delicious, easy to make and cheap. Once we became university students, we cannot escape from the pressure from examinations. We try to finish our meals as fast as we can to save time, but that does not mean you have to skip missing a ‘great taste’. Today, I would like to introduce you guys how Korean students usually have their meal in convenience store. (This will usually be mix of ramens)
- Buldak stir-fried noodles(불닭볶음면) + Cheese Bbokki (치즈볶이)
You might know that Buldak stir-fried noodles is famous for the hottest noodle in South Korea. In order to chill down the spicy taste, we usually use cheese. Once you mix these two ramens, you can feel both the ‘spice’ and ‘rich taste’.
It takes about 5-10 minutes. Buldak is 1400\ and chesse bokki is 1100\.
1. Pour water into both containers and wait for 3 minutes.
- When the noodles are cooked, throw the water away, leaving about 3 spoons left.
- Put soup (Seasoning) into each container.
- Mix two ramens.
- Buldak Cheese + triangular Gimbab
You might have tried ‘triangular gimbab (samgak gimbab)’ already. This gimbab is such a revolution. It is very easy and convenient to eat and even better, it has various kinds of flavor. As you know, buldak ramen is used in so many recipes as it has great taste. It takes about 5 minutes to finish the recipe, but you will need spoon and microwave as well. Bul dak ramen is 1400\ and triangular gimbab is usually about 800\, if you want, you can add slice cheese which is 1950\.
1. First, put hot water into buldak ramen and wait for about 3 minutes.
- When the noodle is cooked, throw the water away, put the soup and stir it well.
- Put triangular gimbab and cheese into the ramen.
- Put the whole ramen into the microwave and wait for about a minute.
- Enjoy ramen + rice
- Oh gamja(potato) + string cheese
Do you already know that Koreans always need side dish, called ‘Anju’ when we have drink like so ju or beer? This recipe is ‘Fried green cheese’ that you can find in ‘Outback’.
You will need about 3 minutes. Oh gamja (oh potato) is 1500\, string cheese is 1300\.
- Put the snacks onto the dish.
- Tear the string cheese vertically and put them on the snack.
- Heat them in the microwave for about 2-3 minutes.
This recipe has many maniacs and it tastes more than just snacks. However, be careful that cheese hardens quite quickly so you might have to speed up eating it!
