Hanyang Univ. Campus ready for Christmas

Have you guys seen the trees and lights in front of the university’s subway station? Already, it is the season for Christmas! Winter does not feel that cold maybe because of the word “Christmas” warming the atmosphere. How do you celebrate Christmas? Were you looking for some great Christmas carol for background music? Today, I have come up with some K-pop music with a Christmas-concept. Just put them on your Christmas playlist and spend a good night with the loved ones.

  1. IU (feat. ChunDoong) – 미리 메리크리스마스 (Early Merry Christmas)

IU’s album

This music was released 6 years ago in 2010, but you can still hear the song played at many of the street shops. The lyric is about a girl who dreams of spending the Christmas Day with the person she has crush on. It is very a bright and cute song.

Every winter season, the Jellyfish Entertainment releases its own Christmas Carol. Christmas Time, the oldest one, was released in 2010, and the latest one, Love in the Air, was released just last year. The collaboration of the voices of the Korean top singers will melt your ears. Hope they release another one for this year! <3

  1. TTS – Dear Santa

I guess everyone knows Girls’ Generation and TTS. Last year, three of the GG members released a Christmas single. “Dear Santa” is the title, and it has two versions, Korean and English. If you are already a fan of Girls’ Generation, or just about to fall into the world of K-pop, this will be a good choice. :0

  1. Sung Si Kyung – Winter Wonderland

Sung Si Kyung is one of the most famous ballad singer in Korea. You will hardly find a person who does not like his music. In 2014, he had released an album with all Christmas carols. Many of them, you will be familiar with, but of Sung’s style. He had also featured in Jellyfish music!

  1. J-Rabbit – Merry Christmas from J-Rabbit

J-Rabbit started as an indie band. They are now very widely known. Of the two female musicians, one plays all kinds of instruments from the keyboard, guitar to violin. The other, with a very soft and sweet voice, sings. The harmony of the instruments and singers, and their reinterpretation of the Christmas carol are unparalleled.

  1. EXO – Miracles in December

Honestly, I do not know much about EXO members and their music, but I guess almost all of K-pop fans already knew the song. Since EXO has been a leading musician group of the K-Pop industry for years, I would like to introduce their Christmas music as a representative.

  1. Gain (Feat. Eric Nam) – Must Have Love

This is one of my all-time favorite Christmas K-pop music, which I have been listening to since high school. Actually, I prefer the original one released in 2003, which was sung by Gain from BEG and Kim YongJoon of SG Wannabe. The recent one featured by Eric Nam was released in 2015. The newer one has more electric and rhythmical sounds added.
