Sport Club: (Orange ball) Table Tennis
Practice: Fridays 18:00 – 21:00p.m.
Competition: For the fall, there are three tournaments during the semester, one of which includes a competition with other clubs from all over Korea
Skill level: Experience is required
Overall Experience: “Great experience, I have learned a lot about the behaviors of Koreans by hanging out with them. I was the only foreigner there, so I did not have the option to talk to anyone from my culture (or similar to my culture). After every practice or tournament we went out to eat and drink and have a lot of fun in the process. Sometimes it was hard, because they did not speak English to each other.” – Robert Wiechers (Netherland)
Sport Club: Taekwondo Heroes
Practice: Mondays, Thursdays, & Fridays 16:00 – 18:00p.m.
Competition: No competition. Exams for yellow belt and black belt.
Skill level: Experience is not required
Overall Experience: “I could participate in the Taekwondo class three times a week. We practiced as beginners in the basement of the sport complex. I liked that anyone could join and I didn’t need any previous knowledge in Taekwondo. I got to practice basic kicks and punches used in Taekwondo. But in our class, we did not practice our kicks and punches on one another. After eight weeks, we had an exam where we showed our skills, in which I received my yellow belt. Also after classes, we often went out for dinner and drinks. I really liked the class. I felt that the quality of Taekwondo I learned was really good.” –Sander de Haan (Netherland)
Sport Club: (Individual Medley Swimming) I.M.S

Competition: Not much competition in the fall compared to the spring, where there are a lot more competition.

Sport Club: Hyminton
Practice: Mondays – Fridays 17:00 – 19:00 p.m. Must practice at least 3 times
Competition: In the fall, there are about 3 tournaments to compete with other universities.
Skill level: Experience is not the most important, showing up to practices and enthusiasm are more important.
Overall experience: “As an exchange student, I really felt welcomed at Hyminton. Not only did they help me find the hall to practice in, but they also managed to teach me a few Korean words and a lot of Korean culture. My club really wanted me to have a good time while enjoying what they like the most, playing badminton. That’s why I really liked going there!” – Jonas Andersen
