Cafe Hoping

By Pratibha

Hellooo, everyone!!!!

Here I am with another cafe recommendation but this time it’s not so far from the university. In fact, it is close to people who live in Saguendong (사근동). This is personally my go-to cafe whenever I feel so.

The name of the cafe is “The Scent of Green Papaya”. Here is the address:

Their Instagram handle is: mui_greenpapaya

This cafe is not even 5 minutes away from my house. I love the menu, the vibe, the architecture, music. It is not a big cafe yet comfy.

(I got this picture from the Naver link I put above)

I have been here so many times. I don’t know If I am being biased or if I like it genuinely because one thing is that they have Indian drinks such as milk tea and lassi (yogurt and milk blended with a pinch of sugar). I have tried almost everything on their menu. It’s not really a big list.

(this picture is from a blog written by Gyutang)

So the drink menu includes Americano (3,500), Latte (4,200), Moldon cream latte (5,500), Lassi is available in strawberry, blueberry, mango, and plain flavor (6,000), Royal Milk tea [guys, this is not the boba tea, it is a normal milk tea] (6,000), and Sangria (8,000).

Apart from that, they have Victoria cheesecake, basque cheesecake, fudge brownies, and a variety of croissants. Everything ranges from 3000 won to 7-800 won maximum. Here are some highlights from my Instagram stories and archives.

(this is the Latte that I ordered)

(Milk tea and I got this Lemon caramel bar for free)

(Fudge brownie and milk tea)

(Blueberry lassi)

 (Brownie with icecream)

 (Moldon cream latte)

I got grape for free as well. The owner is really kind as well as the other staff.

I highly recommend the brownie and the moldon cream latte.

So, that’s it for this blog. Best of luck to all for their finals. Hang in there, the semester is almost over.

See you soon again. Byeee 👋
