Café in Anguk with a touch of traditional Korea

Hi, I am Dawon and today’s post will be about a wonderful café I recently visited in Anguk. Anguk station is on line 3 and it is near Gyeongbukgung Palace and Jong-no. The area is famous amongst people as a relaxed, quiet, refined place to enjoy meals and cafés. Since Anguk is close to the Hanok village, (Korean traditional housing) the general vibe around the place is about traditional Korean things. It is an interesting place to take a walk and there are lots of things that will catch your eyes as you look around. The café that I will introduce you guys today is also a Hanok bakery café. It is called “Onion” and it has its branches at Suyu, and Seongsu as well.

When you pass through the main gate of this café, there will be 2~3 Hanoks that consist of places to sit and enjoy, the display stand, and the coffee-making area.

They are all connected together and will make you feel like you are back in the 1900’s of Korea. The café has both a traditional and trendy side to it. The general exterior is old-fashioned and quaint but the interior is quite neat and modern. You can experience both the past and present at this café.

Since it is a bakery café, there is a variety of bakery to choose from. There are many desserts kinds and some that you can enjoy as your meal. The combination of the drinks and desserts is amazing. If you would like to spend your time at a quiet café with a fresh experience, try visiting [Onion-Anguk]. You can experience both the past and present at this café.
