These days, K-POP is popular all over the world and there are big fandom cultures among many K-POP fans. This is considered a special feature of Korean pop culture. If you are a big fan of K-pop yourself and want to not only listen to K-pop music but also have a special experience with your favorite K-POP stars, ‘SM Town Artium’ is the perfect place for you.
‘SM TOWN ARTIUM’ is located in ‘Seoul Gangnam gu Yeongdong daero 513’, right next to the Samsung station line 2. SM TOWN is one of the biggest entertainment management companies in Korea and manages many K-pop stars. Stars under its wings include, TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls Generation, SHINee, EXO, and Red Velvet. SM Artium is a place where you can buy numerous items and souvenirs related to SM stars.
On the Second floor, there is an SM TOWN goods shop. There, you can buy many types of products that have the names or pictures of your favorite stars. On the third and fourth floors, there is a museum that offers people an opportunity to see costumes or accessories that the stars used on stage. The inside of the museum is decorated in accordance with album concepts of different singers and therefore extremely good for pictures. There are recording and broadcasting studios as well, so you may get a chance to observe a recording session if you are lucky! If you are hungry or thirsty, there is a café on the fourth floor. It offers desserts and snacks decorated with K-pop stars’ names or album concepts. Finally, if you want to watch performances, go to the fifth floor, where there is a theater. Concerts are held often, but usually, you can watch something called ‘surround viewing’. It is kind of a concert movie, which allows you to watch your favorite singers’ concert videos on the big screen with many people.
