Shopping Near Ewha

If you feel like you have come to Seoul with too many autumn and winter clothes and every day seems like sweating in sauna then you are reading the right article. Of course if your wardrobe consists of shorts and t-shirts only and you are afraid that autumn might surprise you unexpectedly, then keep reading as well. You will find some useful information as I have discovered a perfect place for some cheap quality shopping!

CLOTHES

Street shops near Ewha Woman’s University (이화여자대학교) offer a wide variety of men’s and women’s clothing. There are hundreds of small, private clothing stores that sell clothes made in Korea. Here you can find genuine examples of typical Korean fashion. Most of these stores don’t have a specific name as they are not a part of any big retail chain. You will be able to buy clothes starting from 5000 KRW. Most of the shirts, blouses and dresses will only cost you about 10 000 KRW. You can buy great quality linen shirts for only 7000 KRW. Normally in Western style stores like H&M or ZARA you would have to pay about 75000 KRW just for a single linen shirt. Don’t miss this bargain!

These shops don’t only offer you shirts and blouses, you can also buy good quality jeans, trousers or skirts for about 20 000 KRW. However, you need to be sure that these clothes are going to fit you perfectly as in most of the shops you will not be allowed to try any of the clothes on. Some of the stores might let you try on trousers, but all types of tops should be purchased without visiting a fitting room.

You should also take into consideration that most of the stores sell only one size. If your size is bigger than western medium, then there is a big chance that you will not be able to find anything that fits you. It’s also a good idea to bring some cash with you as some stores do not want to accept bank cards, especially foreign ones.

The shops claim that most of their shoes are handmade and of course come from Korea. They offer sneakers, pumps, high heels, office shoes, boots and even running shoes. Prices mostly start from 19 000 KRW. However, if you are good at negotiating there is a big possibility that you will get a discount and pay only 15 000 KRW for a pair of shoes.

You will also be surprised that there are shops that sell different kinds of bags for only 10 000 KRW. If your school bag is too small and all your books are falling out, then visit Ewha street shops. I can guarantee that you will find something that you like.
