Peace Minus One (G-Dragon’s Museum) (June 9th – August 23rd)

The infamous member G-Dragon of the popular KPOP group, Big Bang, has collaborated with many famous contemporary artists, such as Michael Scoggins, Sophie Clements, Universal Everything, James Clar, Quayola, Fabien Verschaere, Kown Oh Sang, Bang Aenri, and many more to create this exhibition. Peace Minus One explores a utopian “PEACE” world that becomes united with the flawed “MINUS” reality of this world and where the two meet into “ONE”. Many fans of Big Bang and KPOP would enjoy this cool and diverse display of art. The museum is located right outside exit 12 of City Hall on the green Line 2. It is open from 10am to 8pm on Tuesdays to Fridays, and 10am to 7pm on Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays. As for tickets, it is 13,000 won for adults, 11,000 won for teenagers, and 8,000 won for kids. Gangjin Celadon Festival (August 1st – 9th)

The Gangjin area was and is famous for their celadon porcelin production, especially between the 10th and 14th centuries. Today, this Gangjin Celadon Festival is an amazing experience to see and make celadon pottery in person. It was voted as one of the best festivals in Korea and has gathered a large number of foreign tourists as well. This area is a bit far from Seoul, located in the southern area. You can take a bus or train to the Gangjin area, which will take around 5 hours travel time. There is a 7,000 won participation fee to experience all of the amazing events and hands-on experience. Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival (August 7th – 9th)

A rising rock festival in Korea, the Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival has been slowly gaining popularity with the revamp of love for rock music. This year, the line up consists of the Scoprions, The Prodigy, Steelheart, Kim Changwon Band, Seo Taeiji, 10cm, YB, and much more, providing a mix of both foreign and Korean rock bands. You can also camp out in the designated camping areas for a little fee, and enjoy the amazing atmosphere of the festival. Ticket prices range depending on what day and how many days you want to go. One day passes are 117,000 won, two day passes are 162,000 won, and three day passes are 198,000. Ticket sales close on the 30th of June, so hurry up and make sure you get your tickets! To get to this area, you will need to take a subway to exit 1 to the International Business District Station on the Incheon1 subway line. There are also buses available.
