3S, known as essential elements for university students is also known as elements that often contradict each other: Sleep, Social, Study. As a university student, we often faced the dilemma to allocate our time between studying, hanging out with friends or resting.
Have you ever experienced missing your deadlines or being late for the class because you overslept after the night outs with your friend? Well, you might think that it’s okay because you are having fun with your friends drinking the whole night, but you also might regret the grades you have loss by missing the assignments. This problem occurs because we often rely on spontaneity which worsen with the fact that we only have limited time, which is 24 hours a day to do everything. This problem therefore pointed out the importance of prioritization. However, the question is: how to actually set your priority?
There is a secret behind balancing university life and how to set an ideal priority which is scheduling. A simple scheduling with phone calendars or writing a simple to-do-list will help you to know what to do first and which activity can be postponed. As an example, if you have deadlines on Monday, you can set your priority to spend your Saturday to work on your assignment, spend Sunday hanging out with friends after the assignment done and take Monday as the day to rest after the class schedule. Scheduling help to prevent procrastination and help you to plan better with the outcome of a balanced university life.
What are you waiting for? Open up your calendar and start writing down your tasks for the day for a better week ahead!
