The Olympics make the economy prosper. First, job employment grows. Since the Olympics gathers
people from all over the world, the host country should have a lot of hotels, sports facilities, and
convenient transportation (road, airport, rail, etc.) to cover them. When countries prepare for the
Olympics, the employment of related industries like accommodation, construction, and transportation
increases. According to South Korea policy briefing, researchers report the 1988 Seoul Olympics created
about 330,000 jobs (Jang, 2022). Secondly, it increases tourism income. Because people from all over the
world gather in host countries to watch sports games, all the money they eat, sleep, and travel goes into
the host country’s tourism revenue. The chairman of IOC Jacques said that the hosting of the Olympic
