Surfy Beach- Part 1

We are almost near the final exams!!

Woooow, we just had midterms a few weeks back and now it’s already finals…😶‍🌫️😱

As we are near the end of the semester, let me introduce you all to a new place that I visited right before the semester started.

I went to a beach called “Surfy Beach”. It’s in gangwon-do.

My friends and I planned it out of nowhere on a Saturday evening and we packed our stuff and all met on the very next day i.e., Sunday early morning around 7 am to go there. We took a cab to the Express Bus terminal and bought tickets for yang-yang (양양) at the bus terminal.

We rode the bus at 8:15 am. It was a 2 hour 15 min approx. journey. The bus took one midway stop at a rest stop by the side of the highway. We all got off and took some snacks to munch on. It was just a 10-minute break so we needed to hurry up. Later around 10:30 am, we reached the 양양 bus terminal. From there the beach is far. There are 2 ways you can go from there to the beach. One is the local bus, but that bus service is slow ( I mean it comes every 2 hours) so if you are not lucky like us, you might need to wait for 1-2 hours for the next bus to come and go to the beach. The second option is using a taxi from the taxi stand right in front of the terminal (which we used). There is one convenience store and also a cafe on the 2nd floor.

After you take a taxi, it going to take around 15 minutes to get there. Keep in mind that for coming back it’s difficult to get a taxi so try to use a Kakao taxi. Once you reach there, huge letters spelled SURFY BEACH will welcome you to the new experience.

There are a lot of activities to do. Also, using this facility is free but few benefits are paid. Moreover, they have their food court (which is a little expensive but that is the only place you can get food nearby in that whole area). We bought their paid facility package and went right ahead into the shower room to get ready to dive into the ocean.
